Requests for visits should be before 10 am as this allows the doctors to plan their visiting schedule for the day. Home visits are for patients who;
- The medical condition would be made worse by attending the surgery or
- Truly housebound
We try to encourage all our patients to attend the surgery as this allows us to use medical equipment to help us assess your condition. When visiting your home our doctors are limited in the type of equipment they can bring. So please remember your health is our primary concern and it is always better, where medically possible, to attend the surgery.
Please remember home visits are assessed on medical need and whilst we appreciate patients may have transport problems or mobility difficulties unless you are truly housebound this may not be sufficient to secure a home visit.
