Non-urgent advice: Extended Access & Out of Hours
When We Are Closed
If you require a doctor outside of normal practice hours, please telephone 0113 2409 500 / 0113 2600 021 you will be re-directed to the out of hours team.
NHS 111 – You can call NHS 111 when you need medical help fast, but it is not a 999 emergency. Your needs will be assessed, and advice will be offered, or arrangements will be made to see a doctor.
All calls are free from landline and mobiles. Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
For a medical emergency call 999.
Chest pains and/or Shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Weekends
Routine Saturday appointments are now available with GPs, Nurses, and HCAs until 2:00 PM at Shaftsbury Medical Centre. Additionally, a virtual pharmacist is available until 5:00 PM.
These extended hours are part of our extended access service and are provided by a range of local healthcare professionals.
Please note: All Saturday appointments must be booked in advance by contacting our reception team.
