Antenatal clinics are held at both surgery sites. If you have a positive pregnancy test you can call reception to book an appointment. If you do not have a positive pregnancy test but wish pre-conceptual advice or have concerns you can arrange to speak with the midwife.
The midwife will monitor your health and your baby’s health during pregnancy and carry out examinations and screening procedures as part of your care. She will also help to develop your birth plan.
Once your baby is born the midwife will visit you at home and advise you to attend your postnatal check-up and to register your baby at the surgery. Our practice nurses who carry out postnatal checks offer contraceptive advice and the opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have about your health.
